My relationship with Kosher.com started with the chief marketing officer (a celebrity kosher chef) in need of a look and feel for the brand. It quickly became clear that I would be able to do quite a bit more if I were the in-house art director. And so it began: two years of creating a vibrant collection of print and web materials, branding a fleet of delivery trucks, packaging to deliver the orders in, and a weekly sales circular. The cherry on the cake? Working as creative director on a 300-page cookbook that involved collaborating with some of NYC’s finest food photographers. Sales and awareness of the start-up increased dramatically, and the cookbook was a success, its author deemed “a kosher Rachel Ray.”
